New potential therapeutic target identified for fibrotic disease
07 September 2020

Dupuytren’s disease (DD) is a localized fibrotic disorder of the palm. Using a cell assay from DD patient biopsies in combination with a genetics-led target prioritization computational resource: Pi, and a broad screen of epigenetic inhibitors, ULTRA-DD scientists identified collagen VI as a potential new therapeutic target for fibrotic disease. Lynn Williams and colleagues published their findings in PNAS on August 5th.
