Biological probes
Potent and selective affinity reagents targeting extracellular proteins are valued reagents in both fundamental and applied biological research. Much like chemical probes they are essential for the early stages of drug discovery by allowing preclinical target validation in both academic and industrial laboratories. Biological probes could also be used for other research purposes, for example detection of a certain protein in a biological sample.
SGC biological probes meet the following criteria:
- In vitro affinity of at least 20 nM
- Significant efficacy in one or more cell-based assays
- Optional: Can immunoprecipitate its endogenous protein target from a complex mixture with high selectivity
